A total of 2,000 returning overseas Kapampangans were assisted by the provincial government project: “Balik Pinas, Balik Pampanga” since it was launched last June 30.
Returning cabalens were sent home after a three-day quarantine at the New Clark City and testing negative for the coronavirus (Covid-19) based on their reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests. They were also asked to observe home quarantine for 11 more days.
The provincial government also launched the “Balik Pinas, Balik Pampanga” Citizen’s App to assist all Kapampangans returning from foreign countries. The app will serve as a tool for the provincial government to be updated beforehand on the number of returnees that will arrive in Metro Manila or Clark, thus expediting repatriation and determining the kind of assistance needed by the repatriates upon their arrival in the country.
To register, Kapampangans planning to go back to the country in the coming days may check the website: www.balikpampanga.ph to download the app.
Local government adds that only those who registered at least 10 days before their scheduled flight would be accommodated.
