Two Mcdonald’s stores in Clark Freeport, Pampanga opened their bike and dine or bike thru service this weekend, providing bike racks for bikers with table countertops for al fresco dining via its Drive-Thru set up.
Bikers taking the Clark route on their daily pedals can now have a comfortable stop-over at either McDonald’s C.M. Recto and McDonald’s Clark Gate along M.A. Roxas.
At the opening ceremony, McDonald’s Philippines Managing Director Margot Torres, Clark Development Corp. President, CEO Manuel Gaerlan, Bases Conversion and Development Authority President and CEO Vince Dizon, and Provincial Board Member Cherry Manalo, led the ribbon cutting.
“This is good, kasi meron kaming lugar para makapag-stay while eating burgers, tapos safe pa yung mga bikes namin” shared Arnel Tadeo, a biker.
Clark has become a destination for bikers and cycling enthusiasts due to its array of intersecting roads covering both the main highway and forest pathways near the Sacobia mountain range up north.
McDo’s Bike and Dine share the aim with CDC in promoting the Freeport as a green, walkable and bike-friendly community, with phase 2 of the biking lane construction project expected to be finished at the end of July.
CDC also instigated the “Clark Bike Days,” held every Saturday and Sunday featuring a morning and afternoon schedule from 5 AM to 10 AM and 3:30 PM to 6 PM, a program dedicated to anyone who would like to visit scenic spots inside this Freeport.
