The Medical City Ambulatory Surgical Center Offers New Normal Hemodialysis

CLARK FREEPORT — The Medical City Ambulatory Surgical Center (TMC-ASC) officially opened its hemodialysis unit and pharmacy last October 7, 2020.

The ceremonial blessing and ribbon cutting was attended by TMC-Clark president and CEO Dr. Almario Jabson, TMC-ASC medical director Dr. Jose Ranilo Paule, TMC-Clark sales and marketing director Evelyn Yumul, TMC Enterprise president and CEO Dr. Eugenio Jose Ramos, and Clark Development Corp. president and CEO Noel Manankil.

Jabson said the ambulatory center was built to complement the services of The Medical City–Clark. The hemodialysis unit will cater to patients who prefer to be in a stand-alone facility, while the pharmacy will be well-stocked to carry out the prescriptions given to its patients.

“What we expanded within the last year is the active care presence or the home care presence, the dental facility, pharmacy, and the hemodialysis unit,” Jabson explained.

“This facility should complement and align with The Medical City in Clark – the laboratory, radiology, dialysis, etc. Eventually, when we reach the saturation point, maybe then we can expand,” he added.

The hemodialysis unit currently has 8 regular Hemodialysis and 3 Hemodiafiltration chairs.

Jabson also noted that the surgical center would remain non-operational as surgeries in TMC-Clark are adequate and sufficient, while the plan for the laboratories should also complement both to avoid redundancy.

“Since the surgeries in Clark are not yet saturated, we plan to not operate it yet. When we reach a certain saturation in Clark, then we can open the surgical center here for minor operations,” he said.

The Medical City Ambulatory Surgical Center is located at Berthaphil III, Jose Abad Santos Ave. Clark Center.
