Angeles City is slowly opening it’s tourism business to the public.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. Plans to boost Angeles City’s tourism industry by offering visitors foods and delicacies native to the city and nearby areas of Pampanga. The global coronavirus pandemic has caused the local food industry to go on a slump, just like most businesses in the country. The city government is waiting for when the IATF for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to allow full operation of the tourism industry before going on with the gastro-tourism plan. Of course, safety protocols for all featured food establishments will be implemented to keep the visitors safe.
Gastro-tourism is the pursuit of experiencing authentic, memorable culinary experiences of all kinds, while traveling internationally, regionally or even locally. And since Angeles City is dubbed as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines, the government of Angeles City wants to remind visitors why it is so.
